Cemaes Community Woodland
Cemaes Community Woodland is a 5-acre area, originally wasteland, that is now planted with a mix of native trees and underplanted by bulbs. Winding pathways connect the woodland and the beach road to the local park and another public footpath through the village. There is also a small pond with picnic benches.
Established in 2003, Cemaes Community Woodland is owned by Cwmni Cemaes Cyf, a community enterprise that was set up to preserve and promote the parish of Llanbadrig and to develop projects that contribute to Cemaes being a sustainable community.
The woodland is a small area of 5 acres planted with a variety of native trees, wildflowers, and naturalised bulbs. Every year volunteers add more bulbs and manage the various winding pathways and the small pond.
Various birdboxes attract nesting birds and grants have enabled benches to be added.
